Our Girls' Day Adventure

Obviously I am not going to post our Salt Lake trip in any order, but on Tuesday it was a "girls' day". Donna, Julie, Kaylee and I drove down to Provo since Donna wanted to see her old alma mater, BYU and to eat at the Brick Oven(yummy!). After we ate lunch we went to the University mall since we heard there was a big treehouse for kids. We heard "old news" since it had been torn down quite a while ago due to plumbing problems?*S* So, we had to find something for Kaylee to do so we found a small arcade that had a few things for small kids to do; one of them being a carousel. It was the longest carousel ride that I've seen so far in an arcade.

After we had played at the mall for several hours we headed back up to Sandy to meet Craig and Cyndi at the Mayan, but first I had to make a stop by our old house. This is where we lived before moving to Walla Walla. The house looks pretty much the same even with the baby poop siding color!

The Mayan is a great Mexican-type of restaurant in Sandy. It's set up similar to a ride at Disneyland. In fact, while we were waiting to be seated there was a little girl next to us that commented that she was a little scared; it felt like she was going on a scarey ride.

While eating, they provide you with some entertainment. They have people dressed as Mayan Indians who actually dive off of cliffs into a small pool. This photo(I hope it's the right photo) isn't very clear but the guy is waving around a fire baton. The actors even come around by the tables and speak "mayan"; although it sounded like jibberish to me!

How fun! I remember that house in Sandy well - having sleepovers and eating chips and salsa;) The good ol' days! Glad you had a nice trip to Utah!

I am glad that you had such a fun trip to Utah, I just wish I could of snuck up on you somewhere to say "hi". You are not to far away when you were in Kaysville. Oh well, maybe next time. It looks like you kept busy and had a great time.
