What color red are you?

You Are Apple Red

You're never one to take life too seriously, and because of it, you're a ton of fun.

And although you have a great sense of humor, you are never superficial.

Deep and caring, you do like to get to the core of people - to understand them well.

However, any probing you do is light hearted and fun, sometimes causing people to misjudge you.

Some miscellaneous photos at the NWAACC golf tournament

Walla Walla Community College Warriors take 1st place at the NWAACC tournament in Spokane, WA May 19th, 2008

Here, Rob is with some of his teammates when the last one finished the 18th hole. They knew what score the last team member needed to put them in 1st place and they were very happy when he shot a 71 on the course!

When Rob got home I took a photo of him holding his latest plaque and the first one at College level.

The last photo was taken at the school a few months ago and isn't really great but it's a photo of the boys' and girls' golf teams.

We are proud of Rob and his accomplishments!

More photos from the last day of NWAACs at Indian Canyon Golf course

This photo is of Rob lining up his birdie shot at the 18th hole. The ball was 35-40 feet away from the pin and it was a beautiful putt to see. That putt helped his team to 1st place!

He was relieved and happy that he shot a 73 (1 over par)

Rob's WWCC NWAACC at Spokane, WA May 18th and 20th

Okay, so Rob went with WWCC Warriors to Spokane on Saturday to practice for the NWAACC (Northwesst Athletic Association Community College - I think). The tournament was on Sunday and Monday. Kent and I drove up on Saturday evening and stayed in Cheney at the Holiday Inn Express (where the team stayed also). I took quite a few pictures so I may put quite a few on. Don't you think photos are better than alot of words?*S*

Rob said he didn't "feel on his game" this day. His score did reflect that; an 83. He had a really bad hole and then it seemed to go down hill after that.

If you look closely at a few of the photos, you can see the ball. Feel free to click on the photo to enlarge it.

The Trusscotts

On Thursday evening after Rob's golf tournament, Steve, Victoria and Katherine Truscott came over so Katherine could have a "last fling" playing guitar hero before she leaves on Sunday to go into the MTC. She is going to Northern Spain for her mission

Steve tried it out and didn't really want to play after that!*S*

Bet you never thought you'd see Victoria playing guitar hero!*S* She didn't do well but neither did I!LOL

Katherine ended up helping Victoria play and it was funny! Victoria pushed the buttons and Katherine "strummed"
After guitar hero we headed downstairs and played Mario Kart. Steve did like that game!

Rob's golf tournament in Walla Walla at Vet's Memorial Golf Course

On Thursday, Rob had a college tournament in Walla Walla. There were only 4 schools in attendance. The weather was absolutely beautiful and perfect to spend on the golf course.

Rob drove the green on the 1st hole and this is where the ball landed; he did birdie this hole

In this shot(if i've gotten this next to the right photo) you can see the ball right as he hit it.

And if I'm right here *S* Kent video'd the tournament and if I get really technical maybe I can post a snippet on another post.

As usual, Rob is in the trees, but it seems to work for him!
And lastly, Rob is telling his coach that he shot 2 under par which put him in 2nd place.

Rob's golf tournament in Bandon, Oregon

Last Friday Rob's golf team traveled to Bandon, OR which is about a 10 hour drive.

This was Rob right before he left for the school to leave.

Rob said the golf course was right on the ocean and it was a difficult course.

I don't think his team golfed very well, but they did have a great time.

Buying plants to put in the yard

In January, we had a big wind storm that took out 3 of our big trees along with the facia board on the front of the house along with the gutter. It's given us an excuse to "spruce up" the yard a bit. It needed it before but I had not wanted to really fool with it or put any money into more plants that I might just kill! My friend, Mary Ruther, is really knowledgeable about plants. She is actually selling different ones at the Farmer's Market every weekend in Walla Walla. This morning we went to Barkwell's nursery in Milton-Freewater, Oregon to look around. She helped me pick out quite a few and she knew if the prices were good as well as how hardy the plants were. Her knowledge was invaluable to me; it would have taken me days to do all we did in about 3 hrs.

A view of the plants crammed into the back of her Tahoe.

Mary posing in front of a bowl she really wants to get to convert into a fountain.

And Mary took a photo of me. Barkwell's nursery is so pretty! They also sell decorative items for the house. I couldn't leave without buying a dark yellow and red glass chicken for the kitchen. *S*

It was a very warm day here and the sky was beautiful with the clouds over the mountains so I had to take a photo of that as well.

Youth Temple Trip

On Saturday morning, very early (7:30), we all met at the Church to take the young women and young men to the Columbia River Temple. It was a beautiful day and as we were driving up the street to the temple I had to pull my camera out of my purse and take a few snapshots of the temple.

I was trying to be a little creative with this shot. It is a beautiful temple.

More hot air balloons

On Friday evening, Kent and I were on our way to Applebee's for dinner and this blue and white hot air balloon appeared so I grabbed my camera and tried to get a few good shots.

As soon as the blue and white balloon had passed by this big orange balloon appeared. It was huge and very colorful.

I tried to get a shot of the flame inside the basket of the balloon.

Seeing the pictures doesn't do the balloons justice. They look so graceful and amazing up in the air.
