Snow is beautiful
I looked out the window yesterday around 3:30 and it was so sunny and the snow looked so pretty in the sun that I decided to go out and take a few pics. While I was out in the front yard, I heard geese flying over so I tried to get a pic of their little group. It's a little fuzzy, but I didn't have much time to get the right shot; and my son, Rich, would say that I need a better camera- Maybe next year?

The day Church was cancelled!
Dad and I were supposed to speak in Church today, but we received a phone call around 9:30am telling us that Church had been cancelled due to the weather and road conditions! It pretty much snowed all day! I felt like I was back in Utah. It has stopped today(Monday) but it is not melting very quickly. I could hear Rob scraping and scraping the snow and ice off the Pacifica to go to school this morning which he said he was not going to do, but.... *S* It's definately a stay-at-home indoors day and an opportunity to catch up on housework! By the way, the ruler on top of the Odyssey was showing close to 6" of snow but I heard reports that we got 8".

The Friday night before the Texans flew home!*S*
Rich, Alison, Reed and Lucas AND Julie, Bo and Kaylee all flew out on Saturday morning at 6:50am from Walla Walla to Seattle then to Dallas. So that evening, we just kind of hung out and enjoyed being with each other til they left.

Well, I don't think I'm going to go for the gusto and create a WONDERFUL looking blog. I tried to use smilebox digital scrapbooking and cannot do that with my new mac computer; not compatible with smilebox. Then I looked at some sites for free templates but to tell you the truth, I don't think I want to put in the time it takes to search and find the exact look I want. I guess the main purpose for me to have this blog in the first place, is to stay in touch with family and friends. (I did talk with Julie today and she explained how I can post photos along with explanations so that should be better than ONLY photos*S*) So, I will most likely be changing the look from time to time depending on my mood but do it in the context of this site using their options. Maybe in the future, I'll want to explore and learn more, but for now I'm content with "what is" for i have lots more things to do (as you have read in an earlier post).

Trying to get it together!
As you've been able to see; I'm doing things on my blog all backwards, but what else is new? I put things off until it's too late and then have to do some things as they happen and then end up adding on the things that really happened first! (are you as confused as I am?) So, now I am trying to catch up my blog as to happenings of the past few weeks.
And, for Christmas, Kent gave me a new computer and it's an Apple which is good, except that I'm having to get used to doing things differently. And I no longer have spider solitaire or bejeweled online which is not a bad thing except that they're fun!*S*
I guess I'm just feeling a little overwhelmed with the new year hitting me and the old one lagging on ;having to put away Christmas and playing "catch-up"!
And as you can see, I still have not "blogged" Christmas. I'm going to work on that one next. And I'd still love to figure out how to make this blog template my own. So, without procrastinating further, I'm going to add some photos from Christmas now.
and by the way, I loved having my whole family here for a whole week. I hope they all had a great time catching up with each other and I miss all of them!

Windy Day Part 2
We drove around Walla Walla and took some photos of the wind damage as well as the dirt blown around. Notice the prison lights in the DAYTIME!
