Arlington National Cemetary
Everywhere I looked there were white headstones; this photo does not even do justice to the cemetary. It was quite beautiful and there was definately a reverent feeling even with hurrying to make it to the "changing of the guard" at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The changing of the guard was a silent ceremony; very reverent. These soldiers commit to this job, if I heard correctly, it's for 3 years. They take shifts guarding the tomb from sun-up til sundown.
This is the tomb of the unknown soldier
