This was still at the Lincoln Memorial Stop. My Dad served in the Korean War and I don't know if he has ever seen this Memorial, but I thought it was the nicest one of them all.
It was hard to get a shot of all the bronze sculptures.
Each soldier's face represented all of the nationalities that participated in this War. The faces were so detailed.
Another angle. You can see we were there right after Memorial Day. The flowers were still there.

That is neat. What a neat moment.
Side Note: on your blog...since the background makes the pictures slightly transparent...the statues look like ghosts.
It looks like you are having so much fun back there. Thats one place I would love to visit someday. Are you gonna hit up New York?
Rach,
We weren't able to make it to New York;but I would have loved to do that! There is so much to see and do that we didn't have time to half of it!
I'm glad you had fun on the trip and that you and dad could go back to where dad served his mission. Sorry to hear that you lost most of your pictures!
Looking at the pictures of the statues made me feel somber. The feeling being there must have been even more magnified. I am grateful for all those men and women who sacrificed for us and our country.
Victoria and I are going to miss not having you there this week. Hope your yard sale goes well.
What a cool place to go!
